The UC Los Angeles Political Science Department is hosting the first Political Economy of Climate and the Environment (PECE) mini-conference, to be held at the UCLA Luskin Center on August 30, 2023. This IGCC-sponsored conference aims to enrich the work of scholars who focus on the political economy of climate change and the environment, spark new collaborations, and catalyze new research projects. Unlike a traditional conference, the program has a mixed format that includes a panel of experts on the state of our field, paper presentations, poster sessions, feedback sessions for new research ideas, and lightning presentations by job market candidates.
This closed event was made possible by generous contributions from the UC Institute for Global Cooperation and Conflict, UCLA Political Science Department, UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation, UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations, Princeton University Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance, Stanford University King Center on Global Development, and Australia Catholic University.
